Movie Review : The Karate Kid

-Ehh , on a scale of 1 to 10 ( 1 being horrible & 10 being awesome ) I rate "The Karate Kid" ( the 2010 version ) a 4 . Basically , it was kinda lame , but they tried . I think they tried to do a remake of the original Karate Kid with Danielson & Mr.Miyagi which is one of my favorites and they failed . The original karate kid had more morals . For instance : the bonsai trees , and what it means when you can catch a fly with your chopsticks . Also the temple . Each karate move that Danielson learnt had a meaning or reason behind it . In the karate kid ( 2010 version ) it was prolonged more than it really should have been . They got to the point late in the movie . Jackie Chan ( who played dre's karate instructor ) taught him one move & he still managed to win the battle ? Thats unrealistic . In karate kid ( 1984 version ) Mr.Miyagi had Danielson scrubbing floors , washing cars , sweeping , painting fences , etc . & He told him the true , real life , morals of karate . In the new karate kid , only thing he really learnt was how to hang up his jacket . I believe , if they wanted to remake a traditional movie they should atleast get the important stuff in .
